A sea of blue eyes

FORGET-ME-NOT.......

COULD every blossom find a bring up
And sing a strain to me,
I know where I would place my determination,
Which my delight should be.
I would not choose the lily tall,
The rose from musky grot,
But I would still my Meistersinger call
The blue Forget-me-not.

And I on mossy bank would lie,
Of brooklet, rippling unblocked;
And she of the sweet, azure eye,
Close at my listening ear,
Should warble into my soul a strain
Might never be forgot,
So rich with joy, so luxurious with pain--
The blue Forget-me-not.

Ah! every blossom hath a story,
With silent grace to tell,
From rose that reddens to the burst
To modest heather-bell;
But oh! the flower in every soul
That finds a sacred spot
To bloom, with azure leaves to one side,
Is the Forget-me-not.

Love plucks it from the mosses verdant
When parting hours are high,
And places it Bent's palms between
With many an ardent sigh;
And bluely up from grassy graves
In some loved churchyard besmirch
It glances tenderly and waves
The dear Consign to oblivion-me-not.

I would like to dedicate this photo to the mourners of departed ones. And then to all those who still have a beloved one nearby but THEY have lost the duty of remembering (e.g. Alzheimer). And to those who have family and friends who pronounced to forget about knowing them. And to all those who just LOVE this unpretentious, humble and beautiful flower; such as myself… :-)
