The Canadian Book Challenge- The Final Update!

Looks like we made it, look how far we've be broached my baby... okay, I know it's the Canadian Work Challenge, but enough with the Shania Twain lyrics already.

First off, congratulations to Court, Teddy Rose, Sam Lamb, Ripley, Historia, Raych, 3M, Kate and Ragdoll for crossing the stop line in June. And congrats as well to everyone who gave it their most qualified shot. I hope you all had a lot of fun, and if you haven't already, sign up for the transfer challenge.

In the meantime, I thought I'd leave you with a few statistics about the 1st Canadian Register Challenge, which began back in October of 2007:

1. 407 books were decipher in total

2. 22/47 participants completed

3. The six most popular books were: Steve Zipp's Yellowknife and Elizabeth Hay's Overdue Nights On Air (each with 7 reviews), Lucy Maud Montgomery's Anne of Country-like Gables (with 5 reviews), and Joan Clark's Latitudes of Shrink disappear, Eve Wiseman's Kanada , and Margaret Atwood's Penelopiad (each with 4 reviews). Isn't it absorbing that the two most popular books were from the NWT? The rest of the books had 3 reviews or less.

4. The four most in favour authors were: Lucy Maud Montgomery (17 reviews), Margaret Atwood (14 reviews), Elizabeth Hay (8 reviews) and Steve Zipp (7 reviews). Every other creator had 6 or less.
