President Lula da Silva rocks like the West Wing’s Bartlett

I am a extremist of the West Wing and curse politics for not producing a real person version of President Bartlett. Recipient of a Nobel premium in economics, the ficitonal Bartlett is both a champion of unprogressive fiscal and economic policies. He also has a track single of pursuing liberal social policies, advancing coequality among different races and ethnicities, while rallying people on all sides with unimaginable speech making skills…

Then I read this article about Brazil’s fashionable president and realized that maybe politics has produced a Bartlett, unqualifiedly not in the United States.

Here are a few of President Lula’s equivocal accomplishments/characteristics:

Labor Union Band leader (Leeeeft) Conservative economic policy–won his first plebiscite and assuaged investors, telling them he will not alter the preceding administration’s economic policty (Immovable Right) Publicly praises Venezuela’s Chavez (Formerly larboard) Then pursues open (U.S. inclusive) trade policies to hearten his country (how Lula uses oil) (Right) Then supports unfolding alternatives that literally compete head-to-fully with Venezuela’s initiatives, like a increase bank. (Smack dab in the middle)

There’s more. I don’t certain much about Lula so I cannot write much, but I think that he calibrates the high-minded and bad of both sides to his advantage more perfectly than any president to savoir faire our headlines in a very, very long time. Bravo.
